Happy Friday! It’s the middle of January.
What better time to share Nigerian Christmas songs, than now?
Okay, it would have been better to share it over a month ago, but … Anyway, I will share it today. 🙂
About two months ago, I came across this Nigerian Christmas song on YouTube. It is rendered in Yoruba and titled Oba Wa Oloore meaning Our Kind King. This beautiful Nigerian Christmas song was written by Tolulope Adekola and it was performed by Rhema Mass Choir (RMC) Ilorin, Kwara State. They were also generous enough to supply the Yoruba lyrics with English translations for those of us (me included) who appreciate translations and subtitles.
Please note that the video cuts off abruptly, so only the lyrics provided are reproduced below.
Have a very Merry Christmas, and enjoy Oba Wa Oloore.
